Fun place to stay for a week. Great family run and owned business. Bathrooms are good. Showers are also good just remember to bring quarters $0.50 for 5 minutes and so on.
Very courteous and friendly staff. They treated us very well. Our campsite, S21, had the best views of any campground I've visited. Restrooms were well maintained and the showers hot. My 6 yo son loved the playground and sport facilities.
Just got home yesterday from Glenn Ellis and it was one of the best camping trips I've had! My kids made so many friends! Site was perfect size and we could see the Conway Scenic Railway go by from our site! So much to do.... Pool, two rivers, playground and arcade barn! We plan to make reservations for next year soon because they book very quickly.
A bit pricey as far as camping goes. You would probably need to reserve a site a year in advanced if you want a spot which can be annoying but is well worth the planning. Despite the price there is a lot to do here, one could spend an entire day here and not get bored. The river provides nice spots deep enough to swim, shallow places to sit, and swift places to float down. There are parks and tennis courts and many other things. The town is close by but not too close that it's noisy. There's also a Dunkin Donuts nearby for those that can't live without.
Always a great stay! We stay several times throughout the year. Lots of things for the kids to do in a beautiful natural environment. They can float and splash at the river, play games in the fields, and enjoy the stars at night. Glen Ellis is a gem!
